Perekhrest O. Ukrainian village in 1941-1945: economic and social condition.

The dissertation focuses on the objective and scientific analysis of economic and social condition of Ukrainian village in 1941-1945 with regard to reconsidered previous research work of Ukrainian and foreign historians, and contemporary documentary material promulgated for the first time. The work analizes peculiarities of functioning agricultural sector and social infrastructure of the village at the beginning of the war and in the period of occupation, a number of positive and negative factors which influenced the process of reconstruction. The research concevns damages in economic and agrarian sector caused by expansionist policy. Problems and hardships in the process of production and daily life of villagers under the war time, their titanic effort aimed at maintenance of the Red Army, the rear and industry, reconstruction of rural economy and social infrastructure are considered in the thesis.
