Essay

Dissertation is devoted to complex investigation of social development tendencies and ethnocultural transformations in Transcarpathia of the second half of 1940's - first half of 1960's. Panorama of contradictive life of region's population on the background of Sovietization policy due to objective analysis of diverse sources, a great part of which is introduced in scientific circulation for the first time, as well as the achievements of historiography. Resource base of theses is representative and numerative enough for all-rounded and holistic study of the theme of investigation, as well as the analysis of special literature made it possible to state, that scientific apprehension of ethnocultural processes, which took place in Transcarpathia in conceptual and in factual aspects are unaccomplished. It turns the vector of scientific investigation in meaningful trend of modern historiography. The scientific analysis of rich and contradictive Transcarpathian experience be of great interest for other near-border European territories with ethnically diverse population.
