The thesis represents a new approach direction to treatment based on pathogenetic mechanisms of treatment strategyjustification, the concept of surgical treatment and postoperative management of children with developmental disabilities, diseases and injuries of the spleen, as well as the necessity of organ-preserving and minimally invasive technologies using innovative methods. The morphofunctional state of space-occupying lesions of the spleen in children was studied; their common and distinctive features in a single syndromologic aspect were detected. The understanding of the pathogenesis of space-occupying spleen lesions in children was investigated and substantiated; the causes and consequences of mobile spleen were examined. The objectivistic indications and contraindications for surgical treatment of space-occupying spleen lesions in children were proposed. Indications and contraindications for the use of mini-invasive treatments in children with space-occupying spleen lesions on the basis of study of the spleen dysfunction degree and comparison with the "open" method of treatment of this disease were determined. The proposed tactics of surgical treatment of children with diseases and injuries of the spleen made it possible to avoid mortality and minimize the appearance of postoperative complications; complete absence of relapses was achieved.
