Object - the formation and development of urban governance in Volyn in XV-XVI centures. The aim - to explore the process of formation and development of urban management Volynia XV-XVI century on the basis of the source base. Methods: analysis, synthesis, deductive, inductive, problem-chronological retrospective.The thesis deals with the process of formation and development of urban governance in Volyn in XV-XVI centuries. In the work the analysis of set of social, economic and cultural factors which influenced the character of a municipal government, activity of city constable, and representatives of the separate social groups of the city population, in particular philistines is carried out. It is revealed in the thesis the features of social and economic development of the Volyn cities, level of development of shop craft, trade, social and ethno and national composition of city dwellers, legal bases,circle of powers of the Volyn monitors, marshalks and other constables, their influence on city self-government. In research the analysis of an order of granting of the exemptions and privileges to the Volyn cities in context of the Magdeburg law spreading, establishment and the organization of the power of advocatus in system of a municipal government is carried out. In the work the comparative analysis of practice of functioning of the Magdeburg law in the cities of different submission is carried out. It is concluded that authentic Magdeburg law in the cities of Volyn didn't exist. Scope - educational process.
