Essay

The dissertation is devoted to an integral systematic analysis of the upbringing of the children of the ancient Eastern Slavs in the VI-th-XIII-th centuries in the process of life activity as a complex separate form was made in this work on the basis of the archeological and the written memorandums, specimens of folklore and the synthesis of the achievements of different humanitarian and social sciences (civil history, ethnography, folkloristics, the history of culture, applied arts and crafts, historical demography). It was analyzed and systematized the scientific views on main spheres of life activity of Eastern Slavs of the VI-th-XIII-th centuries - economical, family, communal, religious. It was defined the ideological foundations of pedagogics of the Eastern Slavs of the VI-th-XIII-th centuries and their impact on the children's upbringing. This work revealed the importance of natural environment for developing children's respectful attitude towards the world. The features of family education and upbringing of ancient Eastern Slavs at different age periods of life were identified and analyzed in the dissertation. This work dealt with mastering by the children of the agricultural knowledge and skills and homemade crafts as an important part of their educational process. It was defined and grounded the content, forms and ways of socially oriented upbringing of the Eastern Slavs' children in the VI-th-XIII-th centuries.
