Essay

Object: World War II and socio-cultural processes on territory of Ukraine during the Nazi occupation. Objective: analysis of the nature and characteristics of cultural processes on the territory that during the Nazi occupation was under military control. Methods: analytical, logical, systematization (classification), special-historical: retrospection, periodization, comparative-historical, problem-chronological. Results: for the first time comprehensibly researched the basic parameters of the cultural life of the population on the territory of Ukraine that during the Nazi occupation was a part of the zone of military administration, into the scientific circulation introduced a number of unknown or little-known sources of Ukrainian and foreign, especially German, archives, drafted and introduced to turn complex oral history sources that characterize features sub-occupational life of average person, the role in it cultural component, considered institutional and non-institutional manifestations of cultural life of local people as items of sub-occupational everyday, defined the peculiarities of the perception of the local population of the new government, improved the specificity of activities of cultural and educational institutions in zone of military administration, method of analysis problems of everyday life for the average person of extreme wartime conditions, perspective directions of the use and promoting of empirical research materials on the history of World War II. Scope: for creating scientific works on the modern history of Ukraine, particularly its eastern regions during the Nazi occupation, a courses of lectures on the history of Ukraine, historical ethnography, history of Ukrainian culture, special courses, textbooks on the history of Ukraine.
