Essay

Philosophical analysis of contradictions of continuing education under the influence of globalization and the information revolution in the early twentieth century is carried out. The phenomenon of continuing education as a subject of educational philosophy is examined, which allowed a philosophical explication of the concept of "continuing education" by considering it in the unity of social, cultural, ontological, axiological and anthropological measurements. It is shown that the concept of "continuing education" is the most appropriate in its form and content for the modern educational processes that unfold in education under the influence of the XXI century's trends - globalization / anti-globalization and the information revolution. The notion of "continuing education" is conceptualised, which refers to the process of refining, conversion, and implementation of knowledge by an individual as the main characteristics of its social and active life.
