Essay

The thesis presents a theoretical study and practical solution of the topical scientific problem concerning the implementation of the innovations in secondary schools. The retrospective analysis of the theory and practice of the innovations in the system of secondary education was conducted; the methodological basis of the research that contains the all-scientific, interdisciplinary and concrete scientific levels of the analysis of the problem is substantiated. The terminological system of basic pedagogical innovation terms is formulated; the main characteristics of secondary schools' readiness to accept and implement the innovations are defined; the essence and features of innovative educational system are cleared up. The theoretical aspects and the procedure of expertise, planning and monitoring of educational innovations are outlined. The system of teachers' innovation competence development is worked out. The author's conceptual and contents model and the technology of innovations implementation in secondary schools are grounded, experimentally verified and put into practice.
