The thesis presents a study of the concept of universal central and periphery model geospatial heterogeneity and the development of methodological and methodical principles of social and geographical research central and periphery processes and structures in the territorial organization of society at the regional level. The dissertation research focused on social and geographical conceptualization, determining the nature and specific features of the development of the "center-periphery", the development of methodological and methodical basis of social and geographic analysis of central and periphery processes and structures, scientific and methodological foundations justification of their spatial localization, parameterization and formalization. This paper describes the features of national and international research of central and periphery processes and structures, peripherals and peripheral concept in conceptual and terminological system of social geography was analyzed. Discovered formation mechanisms of social and geographical peripheries dynamic concepts in the context of regional development, major differences in the course of socio-spatial processes in center-peripheral structures were shown. Highlighted the integral processes of centralization and periferization of different scales socio-spatial systems, causing the hierarchical ordering of the set of geographic features and is a universal explaining model of the heterogeneity of geospace. Developed the systematic of central and periphery processes and structures on the genesis, properties and components of geospace, the interaction character in the formalization "center-periphery" method and levels of territorial organization. It was summarized the methods, approaches and techniques on metryzation, geospatial delimitation and parameterization, formalized social and geographic periphery. Model testing of some approaches and methods at regional (for example, Kherson region), macro-regional and sub-regional levels (for example, the Black Sea region) have done. A modern trends and approaches of leveling disparities of "center-periphery" territorial systems were offered.
