Essay

Object: adult education in Ukraine. Aims: the integral and systematic analysis of andragogy formation and development was made; andragogy was reviewed as theory and practice of adult education in Ukraine in late 19th century and during the 20th century to be used as positive historical experience in modern andragogy. Practical value: manual "Fundamentals of andragogy" was published; a special course "Fundamentals of Andragogy" was developed; curriculum disciplines' contents was reviewed and completed. Methods: historical, theoretical analysis and synthesis; historical and structural, historical and genetic, historical and comparative, historical and typological, simultaneous, problem-chronological, method of periodization.
