Rukhmakova O. Theoretical substantiation and development of children's medicines with extracts of licorice root.

The general methodological concept of children's medicines pharmaceutical development for complex treatment of immune nature diseases has been suggested. The analysis of the European Directive “Pharmaceutical development of medicines for use in pediatrics” and leading world pharmacopoeias about preparation medicines in pharmaceutical conditions has been done for harmonizing and establishment national requirements for their production. Developed the guidance “Requirements to production of medicines in pharmaceutical conditions” (chapter “Instruction to production children's medicines in pharmaceutical conditions”) approved by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and general pharmacopoeial articles “Soft drugs made in pharmacies”, “Suppositories and pessaries made in pharmacies” included in the 3-rd part of State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine 2.0. Created for the use in pediatric practice a number of products based on naturally occurring substances – extracts of licorice root in the form of rectal suppositories, dermatological ointment and dental gel. Data of biopharmaceutical and biological research of offered drugs was overviewed.
