Skyba E. The Gender Identity in Philosophy of Postmodernism.

The object of the dissertation is the identity in the philosophy of the postmodernism. The goal of the dissertation thesis is the theoretical consideration of the mechanism of reproduction of gender identity in philosophy of the postmodernism. In the process of investigation the methods of hermeneutic, phenomenological, historical and comparative analyses are used. The dissertation reconstructs and analyses the process of transformation of gender identity phenomenon in the philosophy of the postmodernism. The origins of modern understanding of gender identity as a process that is constantly going on and performing are revealed in the dissertation. The analysis revealed that the origins of modern understanding of gender identity begin in the concept of Hegel's identity and they were further developed in the writings of eminent scholars of postmodernism. It was found that the study of gender labor conditions, power, and cathexis allows us to create a new approach to the relationship and interdependence between gender identity, gender inequality and gender differences. It was found that gender difference is used by power institutions as a means of the legitimacy of gender inequality between gender identities. The dissertation offers concept of the mechanism of reproduction of inequality of gender identities by means of institutions of labor, power, and cathexis. Field of application is the training process.
