Essay

Object: Ukrainian public organizations of political, socio-economic, national-cultural, sports-educational and other areas. Objective: to analyze the activities of public organizations in Halychyna in the context of socio-political and socio-economic processes. Methods: general (ordering, typology, retrospection) special-historical (problem-chronological, historical-comparative, critical-analytical, biographical). Results: for the first time the special comprehensive study of Ukrainian public organizations in Halychyna in the 20-30's of XX century is made, national-cultural, political, social components of ideology and practice of Ukrainian mass and caste-professional public organizations are outlined, estimatition by Ukrainian public organizations trends in national, socio-economic policy of the Second Rzeczpospolita are highlighted, improved position about stating that public organizations of Ukrainians became the so-called "state in state" because under the conditions of the Polish political regime they performed the part of government functions in the national-cultural, social-legal spheres, protection and assistance to the Ukrainian public that has been subjected to various forms of discrimination, typology of Ukrainian public associations of the XX century based on the definition of their social base, social functions and other criteria, the position about significant differences of theoretical studies of building of independent, united Ukrainian state from elite of Halychyna and Dnieper region. Scope of application: in lecture courses on the history of Ukraine, the Ukrainian national liberation movement in the first half of the XX century, Ukrainian cooperation, as well as political science studies.
