Essay

The thesis deals with the theoretical basis of the research trends of university education; general characteristics of university education in Ukraine during the second half of the XX - early XXI century (which include stages during the Soviet era: a combination of education and science (50 - 70ies. of XX century.) modernization in the era of instability (80ies of XX century.) during independent Ukraine - integration of education, science and industry (90ies of XX - beginning of XXI century / 2003), the reform process in terms of European integration (2004 - 2014)) with distinguishing trends appropriate in each period; trends classification of university education on different grounds (by region distribution, in terms of setting priorities for the development and implementation (distinguishing) in strategic planning and socio-economic development for the temporal duration, according to the results that can be measured, the characteristic features; the dynamics manifestation, the degree of subordination, the degree of expression); defined trends according to Second academic revolution changes at megatendentcy, deconcentration and local levels; defined vector directions of university education in Ukraine (noospherization, social responsibility, translimitation, politicization, institutionalization, consolidation, commercialization and competition); Ukrainian vector of university education.
