Essay

The methodology of geospatial research and directions of improvement of socioeconomic space as the basis for integrated planning process have been developed in the thesis. In particular: definition of the socio-economic space as a part of geospace have been introduced; the model of the modern spatial planning process has been offered and its main principles have been determined; the Global Impact Index has been developed; Spatial Development Index for research at national and regional levels has been offered; the assessment of Ukrainian spatial development has been done on the base of author’s methodology; the concept of integral planning process in Ukraine has been developed.
