Essay

The study of Jewish art is one of the important areas of modern science in Ukraine and involves the study of complex issues related to religious, social factors, as well as inter-ethnic relations. The choice of topicality of the study was made due to lack of scientific papers devoted to Jewish arts and crafts of Eastern Halychyna of the XVIII — the first third of the XX centuries, mainstreaming of study of certain ethnic groups art in the context of overall development of art in Eastern Europe, including Ukraine, the need to popularize Jewish art as part of multinational culture of Ukraine as well as conservation of historical and cultural heritage.
