The objectof the research is professional speech training targeted to the future translators of Chinese under conditions of university education. The aim of the research is to give theoretical grounds to the methodological concepts, pedagogical conditions as well as to verify experimentally the methods facilitating the professional speech training targeted to the future translators of Chinese under conditions of university education.The research methods are theoretical, empirical, statistical. The novelty of the research consists of the following items: the methodological, scientific and theoretical concepts of the professional speech training targeted to the future translators of Chinese under conditions of university educationhave been scientifically substantiatedfor the first time. The criteria (linguistic, linguosociocultural, communicative speech, translation-discursive, specific technological competencies), indicators have been defined; the formation levels of the future Chinese translators' translation competence (high, sufficient, satisfactory, low) have been characterized. The pedagogical conditions facilitating the professional speech training targeted to the future translators of Chinese have been determined and substantiated (students' positive motivation to the translation activity within the domain of the Chinese language; interaction of Humanitarian and Linguistic disciplines alongside with training methods within the process of translation competence formation of the future Chinese translators; students' immersion into active self-guided professionally oriented translation activity with the Chinese texts and native speakers; actualization of interactive organizational forms of students' professional speech (translation) activity under conditions of university education; future translators' awareness (at the level of beliefs) of the significance of the translation activity within the activation space of Ukraine-China relations).The model and experimental methods enabling the realization of the professional speech training targeted to the future translators of Chinese under conditions of university education (cognitive-enriching,operational-reproductive, creative-productive, evaluative-reflective stages ) have been elaborated and tested.The notions "professional speech training", "translation activity", "competency", "competence" and "translation competence" have been specified. The contents and teaching methods targeted to the future translators of Chinese under conditions of university education have been successfully developed.The results are the following ones: the stating and experimental methods of the professional speech training targeted to the future translators of Chinese under conditions of university education have been elaborated alongside with the curriculaof the discipline "Theory and practice of translation (Chinese)" for I - IV year students obtaining the specialty "Philology. Translation", a special course "Theoretical grounds of Translation Studies and professional training targeted to the future translators" (for fourth-year students), a system of exercises, trainings, role playing games, dictionariesof various spheres, etc. The degree of practical verification is high. The corresponding branch is pedagogical, institution of higher education.
