Essay

In the thesis the structural and functional patterns of testicular changes and the status of spermatogenesis in various forms of male infertility were analyzed comprehensively at different levels; the cause-effect relationships of the status spermatogenesis with environmental factors and testicular carcinogenesis were clarified. Epigenetic molecular mechanisms that underlie disorders of spermatogenesis have been identified - activation processes of ubiquitination and sumoilation in testicular cells, increased degradation of damaged proteins of blood-testis barrier Occludin and Claudin11 by ubiquitination, violation of regulatory influence of TGF-beta. It has been established that the effect of low doses of ionizing radiation, as an etiological factor, leads to regular changes in the structural components of the testis, as well as to molecular changes, including epigenetic changes, which can be characterized as an ecological pathomorphosis of male infertility, which leads to violations of spermatogenesis and increases the risk of testicular carcinogenesis. New diagnostic methods and a laboratory-diagnostic algorithm have been developed that improve the tefficiency of diagnosis and treatment of male infertility.
