Essay

Theoretical approaches of historical-pedagogical researches of domestic and foreign scientists concerning the essence and the content of culture formation of written speech of pupils in general secondary schools have been analysed in the dissertation. The evolution of the essence of linguistic education has been revealed and the peculiarities of forming the culture of written speech of pupils in the schools of Ukraine of the studied period have been found out. Pedagogical regularities of the development of the culture of written speech in general secondary schools of Ukraine have been established. Technological aspects and pedagogical conditions of language preparation of Ukrainian schoolchildren during the XX century have been described. The conceptual characteristics of the periodization of the development of the culture of speech in the chronological boundaries of the research have been determined. The possibilities of transformation and extrapolation of the ideas of the past to the preparation of a modern pupil to intercultural communication have been outlined.
