The author carried out a holistic system analysis of the problem of cross-cultural training of future specialists in the tourism industry. On the basis of theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the research problem, it was established that the cross-cultural training of future specialists in the tourism industry is a holistic dynamic process of organizing the educational space in institutions of higher education, aimed at forming cross-cultural competence of students. The cross-cultural competence of future specialists in the tourism industry is considered as an integrative quality of the personality of the higher education applicant, characterized by cross-cultural literacy, the ability to develop cross-cultural communication skills and cross-cultural interaction with representatives of other cultures and independently carry out professional activities in a multicultural society. The components of cross-cultural competence of future specialists of the tourism industry are distinguished: cognitive, motivational, operational and interpersonal. The criteria (cognitive, motivational, operational-activity and interpersonal), indicators (presence of theoretical knowledge, skills and abilities, personal settings) and levels of formation of cross-cultural competence of future specialists of the tourism industry (high, medium, low) are characterized. Cross-cultural training of future specialists in the field of tourism is a coherent, dynamic process of organizing educational space in institutions of higher education, which is aimed at the formation of cross-cultural competence of students. At the methodological, theoretical, technological and methodological levels, the author's conception of cross-cultural preparation of future specialists of the tourism industry is proposed, based on the provisions of competence, cultural, axiological, ethno-relativistic, activity, cross-cultural, systemic approaches; the principles of cross-cultural training of future specialists of the tourism industry (science, tolerance, cultural compatibility, interculturalism, optimization of cross-cultural relations, internationalization, continuity, learning through discovery, resource orientation); philosophical, pedagogical, psychological and methodological positions characterizing the regularities of vocational training of specialists in the field of tourism in higher education. The open system of cross-cultural training of tourism industry specialists is constructed, consisting of the following subsystems: Resource-Based Learning, Distance Learning and Practical Training, which are dynamic components, are closely interconnected, complementary and interoperable. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of cross-cultural competence of future specialists in the tourism industry are determined and substantiated: 1) the positive motivation to cross-cultural education by means of design technologies is actualized and developed by future tourism professionals; 2) improving the content of cross-cultural training of future professionals of the tourism industry through the introduction of the special course "Formation of cross-cultural competence of future professionals of the tourism industry"; 3) application in the process of cross-cultural preparation of innovative methods of student group work; 4) creating an environment of interactive pedagogical support for students in the process of their cross-cultural preparation. The system-structural functional model of the formation of cross-cultural competence of future specialists in the tourism industry, which reflects the interrelations between the blocks (conceptual-targeted, implementation and diagnostic-effective), has been developed, modeled and experimentally tested. On the basis of the conducted theoretical and methodological analysis, a scientific and methodological support has been developed for cross-cultural training of future professionals in the tourism industry. Prepared and implemented in educational practice of institutions of higher education scientific and methodological support of cross-cultural training of future specialists in the field of tourism: textbooks, manuals, monographs, reference books, dictionaries, author's special course "Formation of cross-cultural competence of future specialists in the field of tourism", scientific and methodological recommendations for a special course, a distance course "Formation of cross-cultural competence of future specialists in the field of tourism", electronic manual "Cultural Studies: Crossroads of Cultures", the author's site V. The results obtained in the course of the experimental study indicate the effectiveness of the developed author's concept and the system-structural functional model of the formation of cross-cultural competence of future professionals in the tourism industry.
