components of different levels of police education in Ukraine. Its problems and contradictions at the present stage of development are determined. The necessity of introducing the system of psychological provision into the process of professional training of police officers is substantiated. The psychological provision for the training of police officers is presented as a process that approximate the results of professional training to the requirements of modern police practices and the expectations of society. A productive conceptual approach to the consideration of the system of psychological provision of professional training of policemen in the context of the theory of purpose-oriented systems is proposed. It is determined that the specificity of the psychological provision of professional training as a system consists in the availability of resources and instrumental possibilities for self-diagnosis and adjustment of own goals (targets). A holistic concept of psychological provision for the training of police officers is given. The concept contains theoretical and methodological and empirical substantiation of the scientific problem, the theoretical model of psychological provision of professional training of police officers, which reveals its main components (goals, tasks, functions, stages, aspects, technologies and implementation algorithms); the criteria for assessing the effectiveness and the basis for optimizing the system of psychological support for the training of police officers. The programs of psychological support for different levels of training of police officers were developed and tested. Their effectiveness was investigated. The analysis of empirical obtained data showed that as a result of the implementation of the system of psychological provision, there was a positive dynamics in the following indicators: the anticorruption orientation, anticorruption culture, decision-making ability, self-regulation, reflection, tolerance to uncertainty, the formation of the constructive coping strategies, prognostic ability, the level of responsibility. It has been established that the effectiveness of psychological provision for the training of police officers is influenced by: harmonious integration of the system of psychological provision into the holistic process of professional training; clear definition of goals and directions of activity of psychologists, taking into account age, educational and personal characteristics of candidates for police service.
