Object – quality of arable soils of Ukraine. Purpose – was to develop a spatially-differentiated system of soil quality management based on the improvement of methodical approaches to land estimation, determination of the value and agroinvestment attractiveness of arable soils of the country, taking into account the heterogeneity of the soil cover. Methods – informational-bibliographic, abstract-logical, field, laboratory-analytical, calculation, cartographic, mathematical-statistical (dispersion, regression, correlation, factor, geostatistic). Theoretical results – it was theoretically substantiated and solved a new scientific problem consisting in the development of a spatially-differentiated soil quality management system, which represents a complex of interrelated methods and methodological, principles, processes of purposeful influence on arable soils for the purpose of their rational use, protection and improvement of the level of soil fertility on the basis of a detailed consideration of the heterogeneity of the soil cover. Practical results – it was improved methodical approach to the land estimation of productive and ecological functions of soils; the method of determining the fundamental (basic) and current (market) value of arable soils on a soil-ecological basis was developed; the method of determination of investment attractiveness of arable land of Ukraine for the cultivation of field crops was developed; the physical quality of the most widespread arable soils in soil-climatic zones and provinces of Ukraine was estimated; the methodical bases of diagnostics and parameterization of indicators of especially valuable soils was developed; the areas and allocation of particularly valuable, degraded and unproductive soils in Ukraine were identified and differentiated measures for their use and protection were developed; the features of heterogeneity of arable soils based on physical, physico-chemical and agrochemical properties in different regions of the country were established; the transition from zonal to spatially differentiated agricultural systems based on heterogeneity of soil cover was substantiated and corresponding norms were developed; propositions for improving the methodology of agrochemical certification of agricultural land were developed. Novelty – for the first time: a spatially-differentiated system of soil quality management was developed based on the improvement of methodical approaches to land estimation, determination of value and agroinvestment attractiveness, scientific substantiation and practical implementation of differentiated agrotechnologies taking into account zonal and regional features of soil heterogeneity; conceptual and methodical bases of determination of agricultural investment attractiveness of arable soils for cultivating agricultural crops were developed on the basis of an integrated assessment of soil quality, climatic and agroindustrial indicators of the land plot; it was determined the basic value of arable soils on the basis of the indices of the value of "moving humus", the main elements of nutrition and bioproductivity, which reflects the potential of the soil for the production of agricultural products and allows evaluating its ecological value; the methodological foundations for the diagnostics of especially valuable soils for various natural-climatic zones of the country were developed and their parameters were determined on the basis of the estimations of the favorable physical and physical-mechanical properties and the integral index of the potential of their aggregation. It was improved: the technique of soil bonitation, which involves a comprehensive assessment of the indicators of the soil-climate-field system, determining the potential and effective soil fertility and allows obtaining soil bonitet, climate bonitet and total land plot bonitet; the methodology of agrochemical certification of agricultural land for the development of precision farming systems by detailed soil surveys and the determination of the ecological and agrochemical points of the land, taking into account the genetic features of soils and the signs of their anthropogenic transformation. It was obtained further development of complex estimation of indicators of physical quality of soils as criteria of diagnostics of optimal and modal parameters of arable soils, determination of their degraded and unproductive kinds, establishment of their distribution by natural zones and provinces of Ukraine. Degree of implementation - the main results of theoretical and experimental research were tested and implemented in the regional branches of the State Institution «Institute of Soil Protection of Ukraine» (Kharkiv, Volyn, Chernihiv, Khmelnytsky) and farms of different forms of management, with a total area of over 1.9 million hectares. The results of research were used in educational programs of agrarian educational institutions of Ukraine. The field is agriculture.
