Sliusarenko A. Creation and employment of the land component of the special operations forces (second half of the XX – the beginning of the XXI century).

In the dissertation the author theoretically generalizes domestic and foreign scientific works on this problem, estimates the state and conceptual understanding of the role of SOF in a general context of the history of wars and military art. There is the analysis of information completeness of the source base. The author describes the principles, general scientific and special methods, methodology of the research. There is the vocabulary concerning the research problems. The work solves the scientific problem which is important for the development of military historical science in finding and theoretical generalizing of historical experience of creation (building of national models) and combat employment of special operations forces as a phenomenon of military history and functional structure of the component of modern armed forces.
