In the problematic-synthetic dissertation work for the first time at the present stage of the pedagogics development the pedagogical conceptual sphere of Ivan Franko has been thoroughly investigated and updated. The methodological concepts of Ivan Franko on specificity of the Ukrainian literature as a discipline are covered; the views of the teacher on the axiological goals and the role of literary education in the development of civil society, the views on the teacher's personality, lecturer's skills, teaching programs and textbooks on Ukrainian literature are considered.
