Essay

The method of socio-geographical study of religious space with the use of modern and traditional methods of scientific knowledge has been improved in the work. New mathematical methods for calculating indices of religious activity and mosaics were proposed, which allowed to reveal different types of regions of Ukraine according to the degree of religious activity and to investigate the influence of religious space on social processes. The study of religious space at the settlement level was proposed for the first time (on example of Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil, Volyn, Rivne, Khmelnytsky оblasts).
