Kizlova A. Social Interactions of the Inhabitants Related to Worshipped Sacred Objects of Kyiv Dormition Caves Lavra (1786 – the 1 st Decades of 20 th Cent.).

The thesis deals with social interactions of Kyiv Dormition Caves lavra brethren in 1786 – the 1st decades of 20th cent. related to its worshipped icons and relics. The purpose is to reconstruct the contexts plurality of these interactions and to determine whether they presented a system. The research strategy is microhistorical. The work is based on the principles of historicism, objectiveness, and confessional impartiality. To realize the main purpose the author found out the level of Lavra-related research of the problem and analysed the state of scientific works dedicated to social interactions with the Orthodox sacred objects; defined the information capacity of the source base; revealed the impact of mentioned sacred objects on intercourse between Lavra brethren; ascertained general principles and methods of interactions with interested outlier, primarily visitors; analysed the communication of managing and common brethren with those, who had nonstandard queries concerning the sacred objects; traced the directions and principles of the exchange of sacred objects between Lavra and the world outside.
