The object of research: the "Homo Soveticus" as a social-historical phenomenon and ideological concept. The aim of research: a comprehensive historical analysis of the main institutions, agents, mechanisms, forms and features of the "Homo Soveticus" construction in the USSR ideological context from 1953 to 1991. The subject of research: a complex of the "Homo Soveticus" construction factors in the Soviet Ukraine social political conditions from 1953 to 1991. The results of research: the study presents a unique research innational historiography, a comprehensive historical analysis of the "Homo Soveticus" phenomenon through the prism of the main construction factors in the Soviet Ukraine conditions from 1953 to 1991. The "Ukrainian version" of the "Homo Soveticus" identity project is presented on the basis of the interpretation of the central, sectoral, regional and private archivematerials integratedinto scientific circulation for the first time, interviewingsconducted by the author,involving contemporary theoretical and methodological tools. The study presents theoretical conceptualization of the "Homo Soveticus" phenomenon through analysis of Soviet, dissident, Western European and East-Central European, American, Russian and Ukrainian historiographic discourses and the totalitarianism, industrial society, authoritarian personality and mass culture theorу verification. The sphere of usage: the further research of the current subject, writing of the synthesis works, manuals, reading of the high school courses on the history of Ukraine.
