The research is devoted to the analysis of the daily life of the collectives of the higher pedagogical schools of Ukraine in the late 1920s – early 1950s. The dissertation focuses on the systematic components of the everyday life of students and employees of high educational establishments of the Ukrainian SSR. The author analyzes the internal structure of the higher pedagogical schools. A specific attention is dedicated to the determining the reasons for joining communities. The analysis of the peculiarities of the everyday life of universities, students and faculty members is proposed in the scientific research taking into account material, moral, and religious factors. The thesis illustrates the formation of the space of everyday life of the teaching staff at three levels: the network of higher education in accordance with the administrative-territorial changes in the country; the internal structure of pedagogical universities as a part of the life of educators; material dimention of the working space of the pedagogical higher education of the republic. The author focuses on the generalization of information about living conditions of students and teachers. Part of the work relates to the intellectual space of the teaching staff, which includes analysis of the quality of academic and research work, practice and correlation of the humanitarian aura of higher education, taking into account the requirements of polytechnization. The dissertation describes the structuring of working time in higher pedagogical school. Different types of leisure (entertainment, interactive, educational, cultural, creative, religious, recreation, medical leisure, tourism) are revealed in the manuscript. The research studies the methods have been identof fullfilling the basic needs of educators (nutrition, money, and clothes). Considerable attention is paid to describing the peculiarities of the life of educators in extreme conditions (Holodomor, war, occupation and forced labor in the Third Reich).
