Essay

Object – the organization of the educational process in the institutions of general secondary education for gifted children; the aim – to theoretically substantiate and experimentally test the scientific-methodological system of creating educational and developmental environment in the institutions of general secondary education for gifted children, that will provide for the development of their key competencies; methods – theoretical, empirical, of mathematical statistics; novelty – the research is the first to provide the theoretical substantiation and experimentally prove the scientific-methodological system of creating educational and developmental environment in the institutions of general secondary education for gifted children; the model of the scientific-methodological system of creating educational and developmental environment in the specialized institutions of general secondary education for gifted children is substantiated; the specific aspects of the technology of creating educational and developmental environment in the specialized institutions of general secondary education for gifted children are revealed; the theoretical basics of gifted children's personalities forming within the educational and developmental environment of specialized institutions of general secondary education have been further studied as well as the issues of modelling of spheres of educational and developmental environment for the development of key competences in gifted students and teachers’ professional space on the basis of application of the Euler-Venn diagram have been further analysed; the method of applying the qualimetric approach as the basis for monitoring the formation of teachers' competences is analysed; results – the scientific-methodological system of creating educational and developmental environment has been implemented in the institutions of general secondary education for gifted children. The materials of the research will be helpful to head teachers, tutors and teachers of both specialized general secondary education institutions and general secondary education institutions in the process of creating the educational and developmental environment for gifted students during the process of transition to the senior profile school and organization of academic lyceums; they will be helpful to Master degree students and students of teacher training institutions during their pedagogical practice and for writing Master degree papers; field – pedagogy.
