Essay

The structure and content of the doctoral thesis reflect the complexity of social space as a system of social communication coordinates, its structure and the laws of creation and interaction with mass media systems. Formation of social consciousness, creation of behavioral models become one of the mass media tasks, which form their own system of influences with a specific spatial structure – media space. The communication dimension is manifested in an effort to create a legitimate picture of the world in the social space using the information and communication technologies and mass media. In the dissertation is considered the evolution of the term social space in the humanitarian scientific discourse. It originates with the need of outlining the social space as opposed to the physical and offers a system of social interaction coordinates. As a communication model, it spreads on three stages of development: modern and postmodern researches, the development of a model of social space in the context of multidimensional communications. Various spatial structures (such as society, language) have their own measurement systems. This confirms the idea that spatiality is a universal system for constructing models.
