The paper analyzes the socio-economic conditions and the state of development of non-formal adult education on the foundations of modern scientific ideas, philosophical, psychological and pedagogical research. The expediency of preparation of future scientific-pedagogical workers for teaching adults in non-formal education in the framework of the master’s program of higher education institutions is proved. For the first time, the concept of such training in higher education institutions is substantiated. The author’s model of training future scientific-pedagogical workers for teaching adults in non-formal education and a research program of pedagogical support for this training in the framework of the master’s program of higher educational institutions has been developed and implemented, and their effectiveness has been experimentally verified. Priority is given to the observance of organizational and pedagogical conditions (didactic support for the selection and design of goals, content, and results of training future scientific-pedagogical workers for training various categories of adults; scientific and methodological support for the diversification of areas, topics, and technologies in the process of preparing future scientific-pedagogical workers for teaching adults in non-formal education; organizational support of extracurricular practice of training future scientific-pedagogical workers for teaching adults in non-formal educational environment) and unity of professionally significant dominants (social-value, competence-professional, practical-academic, humanistic). The job description of andragog and its model – «professional graphic quadrant» created a portrait of the future scientific-pedagogical worker with the formed readiness for teaching adults in non-formal education. The content and essence of the conceptual constructs are specified: «non-formal adult education», «teaching adults in non-formal education», «provider of non-formal education», «training of future scientific-pedagogical workers for teaching adults in non-formal education», «readiness of future scientific-pedagogical workers for teaching adults in non-formal education».
