The object of the research is the process of the future Doctors of Philosophyprofessional trainingat the third, educational and scientific level of higher education. The subject of the research is the theoretical and methodological foundations of the future Doctors of Philosophytraining in research and innovation at the third, educational and scientific level of higher education. The aim of the study is the scientific development of the theoretical and methodological foundations for the future Doctors of Philosophytraining in research and innovation activities at the third, educational and scientific level of higher education. Research results: in the dissertation, a theoretical and methodological substantiation and the author's solution of the scientific problem of the future Doctors of Philosophytraining in research and innovation activities in the process of their postgraduate studies are carried out. The essence of research and innovation activity and the future Doctors of Philosophy training for this type of activity is revealed.In the structure of readiness, four interrelated components (motivational-volitional, semantic-activity, personal-creative and reflexive-perspective) are identified, the criteria, indicators and levels of formation of this readiness are determined. A concept has been developed for the future Doctors of Philosophytraining in research and innovation activities, based on a number of methodological approaches and didactic principles of modern pedagogical science, theoretical and practical provisions for the Doctors of Philosophy training abroad, regulatory documents of Ukraine and EU that determine the development strategy of the third, educational scientific level of higher education in the European educational and scientific space, and also takes into account the accumulated foreign and domestic experience of the future specialists training for research, innovation and design activities.A conceptual model of the future Doctors of Philosophy trainingin research and innovation activity, containing target, methodological, substantive, operational and effective blocks, is proposed. A two-component scientific and methodological system of this training has been developed and tested, it assumes: within the educational component - the introduction of three normative disciplines using problem-oriented and project-oriented forms and methods of teaching, as well as attracting graduate students to various educational activities outside the classroom; within the professional component - the organization of quasi-socially-innovative activities of the future Doctors of Philosophy in the context of a higher education institution.The effectiveness of the proposed system of the future Doctors of Philosophy trainingin research and innovation activity is confirmed by the results of the pedagogical experiment, the significance of which is proved by statistical methods. Scope of use: the research results are introduced into the scientific and educational process of the future Doctors of Philosophy trainingin higher education institutions.
