Essay

In the dissertation research methodological concepts of formation of communicative and speech competence of social workers in the process of professional training (system and integral, communicative and activity, and competence approaches) and theoretical and methodical bases of formation of communicative and speech competence of future social workers are developed and scientifically substantiated; the essence and structure of the “communicative and speech competence of future social workers” phenomenon are revealed; the concept of “communicative and speech professional activity”, “communicative and speech support" are specified; the state of formation of communicative and speech competence of social workers in the process of professional training is characterized; the criteria (cognitive and speech, communicative and effective, evaluative and reflective) with the corresponding indicators (awareness of the following concepts: “communication”, “communicative and speech activity; awareness of the concept of a “social worker – the subject of communicative and speech professional activities”; conversance with the concepts of “competence”, “expertness”; “speech competence”, “communicative competence”, “communicative and speech competence”; “communicative and speech support of professional activity of a social worker; ability to organize initiative and dialogue communication with the client; to use to the purpose verbal and nonverbal means of speech expression and formulas of speech etiquette; to resolve constructively conflict situations, to predict partner behavior; to carry out self-analysis of one’s own communicative and speech actions in communication with a partner; effective speech self-presentation “I am a social worker” (self-assessment); to assess adequately the communicative and speech activity of future social workers (mutual evaluation).The levels of formation of communicative and speech competence are characterized: high, sufficient, satisfactory, low. The pedagogical conditions for the formation of communicative and speech competence of social workers in the process of training (integration of linguistic disciplines and disciplines of professional orientation in the process of formation of communicative and speech competence of social workers in higher education are identified and scientifically substantiated; communicative and speech support in the process of formation of communicative and speech competence of future social workers; involvement of students in active, independent, communicative and speech activity; positive motivation of students to the formation of professional communication and speech competence). A model of formation of communicative and speech competence of social workers in the professional process is developed and substantiated. The diagnostic and experimental methods of formation of communicative and speech competence of social workers in the process of professional training, the elective course “Technologies of communicative and speech activity of social workers” and educational and methodical support to it are developed and tested.
