The thesis is devoted to the study of the transformational potential and convergence of Ukrainian-language radio in the world media environment. The research traces the genesis of foreign Ukrainian-language radio in names and specific projects (308 radio producers names were identified, who participated in the creation of certain radio initiatives in Ukrainian language in different years) and specific projects (the presence more than 500 radio initiatives in 32 countries was confirmed). According to the results of the study of archival periodicals and monitoring of the current state of development of Ukrainian-language radio in the world media space, the thesis provides stages of its formation and the structure of the world Ukrainian-language radio as a part of national, regional, local, public, Internet Ukrainian-language radio initiatives and radio stations, Ukrainian hours of foreign radio stations (67 projects in 15 countries were studied), 8 Ukrainian editorships of foreign radio stations, as well as 9 radio projects in the languages of national minorities in Ukraine were studied. The basic concepts of research were defined, in particular the definition of “radio user”, interpretation of information security of a country, digital inclusive radio space. The role of the state language in the structure of the world Ukrainian radio space was determined. It is established that Ukrainian language in international Ukrainian radio broadcasting is in sufficient scale, while the legislative regulation of its internal sector artificially restricts Ukrainian language in contrast with other languages of national minorities, the maximum percentage use of which the legislator does not regulate.
