Sova A. Socio-cultural, military-political and educational activities of Ivan Bobersky (1873–1947).

In the dissertation, for the first time in Ukrainian historiography, the socio-cultural, military-political and educational activities of I. Bobersky (1873–1947) is comprehensively studied. Also his life way is reconstructed taking into account the socio-political processes in Galicia and the conditions of the Ukrainian diaspora in Europe and North America at the end of the XIX – the first half of the XX century. The assessment of his place and role in the history of Ukraine is given. The formation of worldviews, the features of family upbringing, gymnasium, student environment and their influence on the formation of I. Bobersky as a personality are highlighted. His pedagogical activity in IV gymnasium in Lviv, in Drohobych gymnasium, Academic gymnasium and its branches in Lviv, the private women’s seminary and Lviv women’s gymnasium of Basilian Sisters (from 1899 to 1918), his educational work in the United States of America and Canada (1920–1932), Yugoslavia (1932–1940s) and other European countries (1920s – 40s) are analyzed.
