Tymruk-Skoropad K. Theoretical and methodological foundations of pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

Object – rehabilitation of patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; goal – theoretical and methodological substantiation of the pulmonary rehabilitation model and its implementation to maintain and improve the level of functioning of persons with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease; methods – theoretical analysis and generalization, sociological, physical, anthropometric, instrumental, laboratory, functional, pedagogical methods, methods of mathematical statistics; novelty – the model of pulmonary rehabilitation of patients with COPD was substantiated and validated; a system for monitoring the effectiveness of the pulmonary rehabilitation program for patients with COPD was proved and developed; results – scientific provisions on the organizational structure, regulatory framework and principles of introducing the educational component into pulmonary rehabilitation programs were developed; a validated methodology for assessing the level of knowledge about chronic obstructive pulmonary disease for Ukrainian-speaking patients was proposed; a low level of knowledge about diseases in Ukrainian patients with COPD was proved and a model was suggested for predicting the level of patient’s literacy; a model for predicting the overall health-related quality of life in patients with COPD was proposed; specialization − physical education and sport.
