The object of research: the labor market in Ukraine. The aim of research: the substantiation of the approaches onto investigation of the labour-saving function of employment. Research methods: system, structural, functional, correlation, cluster, statistical analysis, economic-mathematical simulation. Theoretical and practical results: the conceptual approaches to labour-saving policy and mechanisms of its realization are elaborated. Novelty of research: the new direction in solving the employment problems from positions labour-saving is determined, the concepts of the unity within the processes of employment and labour-saving are elaborated. Level of application: increasing the productivity of population employment. Sphere of application: the system of managing boards of population employment.
