Povoroznyk M. Medical services in the system of global economic transformations

The work is devoted to a comprehensive study of global transformational changes in the system of medical services in the conditions of service economy development. Much attention is paid to the theoretical study of the economic nature of medical services and their criterion-classification identification. Based on the disclosure of health service disposition in the structure of global public goods, national models of health care systems in international practice have been comprehensively analyzed and their competitive advantages evaluated. In the dissertation the key vector megatrends of institutional and functional transformations of the medical services system in the global socio-economic space are revealed, the role of innovative and telecommunication technologies in the digitization of the medical services system is determined and the tendencies of development of international medical tourism as a trans-functional component of their global segment formation are analyzed. The dissertation contains the results of the author 's research into the management and economic problems of the domestic healthcare sector and the forecasting of market conditions of the Ukrainian healthcare market in the context of macroeconomic growth. The strategic directions of the development of the national system of medical services in the format of European social standards are substantiated.
