Nesvit K. Social potential of economic development of the industrial oriented area

The thesis is devoted to the deepening of scientific and methodological bases, development of theoretical and methodological support and practical recommendations for the formation of social potential of economic development of the industrial oriented area within the national system of post-industrial type. The research novelty of the obtained results lies in the conceptual substantiation of the problem to form social potential of economic development of the industrial oriented regions and improve its theoretical and methodological measurement tool, to develop the strategic directions of modernization the processes to form and apply social potential of industrial oriented areas under conditions of post-industrial nature of economic relations. The paper contents firstly developed and tested scientific and methodological tools for evaluating the social potential of the industrial oriented region’s economy development. Based on the developed scientific and methodological tools, a comprehensive assessment of the social potential of Dnipropetrovsk region economic development as an industrial oriented area have been provided. The author proposes a mechanism for managerial influence implementation on the formation of social potential for industrial oriented region economy development. The thesis improves the system of strategic principles to modernize the social environment of industrial oriented areas for the purpose of its capitalization. The thesis clarifies the conceptual and categorical tool of social potential of economic development of the region research, namely: the author’s definition of basic concepts «social potential» and «social potential of economic development» is given. In the thesis the classification of social potential of industrial development components is carried out, which considers differentiation of indicators by nature of influence and directions of regulation. Theoretical and methodological principles of ensuring the rationality of the social potential of the region’s economy development applying process. The author summarizes the scientific and methodological principles of substantiation and evaluation the impact of social potential on sustainable development of the industrial oriented region based on spread over a set of factors.
