Essay

The thesis focuses on the problem of formation of future foreign language teachers’ subculture in a polylingual education. Scientific novelty of the results of the study consists in: for the first time the notion “future foreign language teachers’ subculture in a polylingual education” and its structure has been defined; the methodology of future foreign language teachers’ subculture in a multilingual education, which is carried out according to three stages (cognitive, cultural situational and behavioural), has been substantiated, developed and experimentally tested; the criteria, indicators and proficiency levels of the future foreign language teachers’ subculture have been developed; the essence of the notions “youth subculture”, “professional culture of the foreign language teacher” have been specified, the pedagogical conditions for the formation of the future foreign language teachers’ subculture have been determined. Practical importance of the research results is determined by the author's methodology on the basis of the elective course “Basics for the formation of the future foreign language teachers’ subculture in polylingual education”, a textbook for university students “Unique World of Youth's Life” and the online course.
