Essay

The thesis actualizes the theoretical generalization and the solution of an important scientific problem of psychological factors of the public employment service experts’ career growth. Taking into account the approaches that exist in organizational and economic psychology, analysis of foreign and domestic literature, the thesis identifies, first of all, the theoretical and methodological fundamentals of the study of the public employment service experts’ career growth problem. The scientific novelty and theoretical significance of the work consist of the fact that for the first time: a model of the public employment service experts’ career growth has been built and tested; the expression levels of psychological factors of career growth and their connection with the career potential of the public employment service experts are analyzed; groups of experts with low, medium and high level of career potential development are identified and described; designed and tested a training program for the public employment service experts’ career potential development. Extended: content understanding of the public employment service experts’ career growth, career potential and psychological factors of career growth. The practical significance of the obtained results consists in development and implementation of a training program for the public employment service experts’ career potential development, which allows professionals with medium and high levels of career potential to increase the level of motivation for career growth, balance their own career goals with goals of the organization; to increase the level of responsibility for success in career growth, psychological components of organizational skills, to form social-communicative competence in order to occupy managerial positions in the basic employment centers in the future. The research materials may be used in advanced training of managers and specialists of the public employment service (career counselors, professionals in vocational guidance, active support and provision of social services experts, heads of human resources, heads of specialized departments) in training, practical and interactive classes on career counseling, vocational counseling, as well as by pedagogical staff of higher education institutions in the process of teaching training courses and special courses in organizational psychology, psychology of work, vocational guidance, personnel management.
