Danylenko N. The Attitude to Personal Appearance in the Structure of Adolescent Girls Subjeсtivity

Object – the subjectivity of the personality of adolescence; goal – to determine the peculiarities of the formation of attitudes to their own appearance in the structure of the subjectivity of young girls; methods – theoretical (analysis, systematization and generalization), empirical, mathematical and statistical methods of data processing; novelty – the basic elements of the structural organization of subjectivity and attitude to their own appearance of young girls are determined for the first time, among which there are elements that promote the integration of the structure (reflected attitude towards oneself, satisfaction with self-realization, locus of control-I, locus of control-life, autonomous causal orientation, systemic reflection, satisfaction with one's own appearance, facial self-esteem) and elements that destabilize it (self-blame and self- association); the peculiarities of the structural organization of subjectivity and attitude to one's own appearance in girls with different ratio of satisfaction and concern with it are determined for the first time; the idea of the subjectivity of the adolescent personality is expanded through the definition of the factor structure of the subjectivity of young people, which contains the following components: autonomy, self-organization of activities and behavior, attitude to themselves and the world, external causal self-confidence; the idea of the attitude to the appearance of adolescent girls is expanded by determining the nature of the connections of its components with the components of the structure of subjectivity; the idea of the peculiarities of the subjectivity of adolescent girls is expanded by determining the differences in the indicators of its components in girls with different ratios of satisfaction and concern for their own appearance; the idea of ways to form a positive and effective attitude to their own appearance in young girls is expanded through the use of psychological means of development of their subjectivity; the psychological characteristics of adolescence were further developed through the identification of distinctive features of lifestyle aimed at maintaining and strengthening health, motivation to quit smoking, bodily locus of control in young girls with different ratios of satisfaction and concern with appearance; results – a program of forming a positive and effective attitude to their own appearance in young girls through the development of subjectivity was developed and tested. The results can be used in the development of special courses and teaching subjects of the psychological cycle in higher education institutions. The results of the dissertation research are introduced into the educational process of higher education institutions of Ukraine; area – psychology.
