Thesis for the degree of the Doctor of Philosophy, specialty 292(056) -International Economic Relations - Western Ukrainian National University, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, 2020. The thesis provides a theoretical generalization and proposes the author's solution to an important problem, which is to develop theoretical principles of acroeconomic effects of military spending in open economies and develop recommendations on the use of adequate models to determine the nature of this impact on the main indicators of economic and social development of countries that are participants in local or regional "hybrid" or proxy military conflicts and wars.
