Lipin Y. Investigation of taking by property by abuse of official position in the fuel and energy sector of Ukraine

The dissertation for the first time in Ukraine explores the theoretical and practical issues of investigation of taking by property by abuse of office in the fuel and energy sector, which are important for the further development and improvement of forensic science and investigative practice. Scientific ideas and approaches to improving the existing methods of investigating acquisition of property by abuse of official position in general and creating an effective and innovative mechanism for investigating these criminal offenses in the fuel and energy sector are summarized. The approach to the formation of forensic characterization of property acquisition through abuse of official position in the fuel and energy sector has been improved, according to which its elements that serve the successful and practical solution of the problem of combating this criminal offense have been identified. The paper comprehensively examines the elemental composition of the forensic characteristics of the taking by property by abuse of official position in the fuel and energy sector, which contains generalized data on the subject, method, circumstances of the crime, its trace picture and the typical identity of the offender. New, more complex and previously unknown to law enforcement agencies methods of preparation, commission and concealment of official thefts in the fuel and energy sector are highlighted.
