Bairamov R. Organizational and managerial foundations of non-Olympic sports in the Kharkiv region (on the example of Sumo)

In the dissertation, a theoretical analysis of the problem is carried out and a new solution to the scientific problem is proposed, which consists in the theoretical substantiation and development of methodological support for managing the development of non-Olympic sports (for example, sumo). In the course of the research, the theoretical positions of domestic and foreign scientists on the formation of non-Olympic sports have been analyzed. The essence of organizational and managerial support for the development of non- Olympic sports as a social institution is established, its structure and components in the social system of physical culture and sports are determined. It has been established that the most promising conditions for the development of non- Olympic sports in Ukraine are the optimization of the management of organizations in the system of training athletes, the integration of non-Olympic sports to the international community, the innovative development of resource provision, the improvement of regulatory, scientific, methodological and medical and biological support of the system of training athletes. The practical significance of the research results lies in the development and implementation of a strategy for the development of sumo in the Kharkiv region. The research results were introduced into the activities of the Department of Youth and Sports of the Regional State Administration, the Department of Family Youth and Sports of the Kharkiv City Council, the public organization “Kharkiv Regional Sumo Federation”, the Communal institution “Complex Children and Youth Sports School No. 1 of the Kharkiv City Council”, of the communal institution "Complex children and youth sports school No. 4 of the Kharkiv City Council", in the educational process of the Kharkiv State Academy of Physical Culture, which is confirmed by the relevant acts of implementation.
