Dissertation thesis studies the problem of formation of socio-cultural competence of future foreign language teachers on the basis of interdisciplinary approach. Scientific analysis of key categories of research has been carried out. The emergence of the term socio-cultural competence in Ukrainian methodology of foreign language study is associated with the activities of international organization "Council for Cultural Co-operation of Europe".
