Kondro I. Ways of Reducing Import Dependency of the National Economy in the Context of Innovative Development Model Formation

The dissertation substantiates the theoretical foundations and classifies scientific approaches to the interpretation of the essence of the concept of "import substitution". The typological features of the researched concept are determined, the interrelations between the policy of import substitution and economic security of the state are generalized, the typology of instruments of the state policy of import substitution is investigated. In order to better understand the studied concept, administrative, functional, process, managerial, multi-vector and multicriteria approaches are singled out, within which the essential characteristics and features of import substitution in the national economy are revealed. The author's conceptual understanding of the essence of the concept of import substitution from three positions is offered: as a transitional stage of accelerated modernization of the domestic economy in the context of export-oriented development; as a process of development of new competitive types of products with an emphasis on intellectual and innovative breakthrough and transition to higher technological modes (fifth and sixth); as a form of protection of the national economy from the destructive influence of external factors, in particular the transfer of technological crises with the chosen vector of strengthening the economic security of the real sector of the economy.
