Nechai N. Dramatic text as an object of translation: linguocultural aspect.

This thesis highlights the theoretical and methodological basis for studying linguocultural specificity of dramatic texts in translation. The paradigm of the basic concepts of the terminological system of the dramatic text is revealed in terms of Translation Studies. The key units of analysis of the dramatic texts are identified within the theory and practice of translation. The complex methodology for analyzing the specificity of translation of dramatic texts presupposes the use of general investigative and specific linguistic and translation methods. According to the results of the research, it is concluded that translation of the dramatic text as a completely composed sign system, which consists of both literary and theatrical codes, differs from prose or poetic translation and requires other translation techniques.
