Movsesian A. Development of the medical instrument market in the European Union

The dissertation is devoted to the theoretical and practical substantiation of the factors of development of the medical instrument market in the European Union, within the framework of which the types, essence and significance of sectoral markets have been determined. In the average view, medical devices are perceived only as a means of diagnosing and treating certain types of diseases. The social function that medical devices present, conditionally overlaps with other characteristics inherent in this area, among which we can highlight the manufacturability and economic significance. Without diminishing the social purpose of medical equipment, the medical device market should be studied comprehensively as one of the sectors of the global economy, which has elements not only of industrial and post-industrial stages, but also plays a significant role in ensuring constant scientific and technological progress.
