Essay

Modern musical art makes high requirements for the level of instrumental performance skills of future music art teachers. Musical works created by outstanding domestic and foreign composers of the past and present, set complex creative tasks for a teacher-performer, that cannot be completed without an effective actable apparatus and instrumental-performing skills. Instrumental performance is an integral part of a music art teacher’s pedagogical work. Extreme importance of future music art teachers’ instrumental and performing skills for the future professional activity, on the one hand, and insufficient focus on its formation in the process of professional training, on the other hand, proves the need for purposeful research of this problem. The analysis of domestic and foreign psychological and pedagogical sources showed that the degree of the problem elaboration of future music art teachers’ preparation for instrumental and performance activity does not correspond to the level of its theoretical and practical significance. Potential opportunities for future music art teachers’ professional training in the formation of their instrumental and performing skills have been identified.
